The selection of an appropriate luting agent may be difficult if they are inexperienced with the recent developments.

Methods: Narrative literature review that uses literature results on luting agents that are assessed from searches on Google Scholars databases.

Conclusion: There is no available product that satisfies the requirements for an ideal luting agent and the existing agents may not be the best but they are safe to use with proven efficiency and reliability.
